When Steven Campos was first diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer, he was 2 years old. it was November of 2012. He kept saying he had stomach aches but no one knew what was wrong. His family took him to different specialist for two months straight to see what the pain in his stomach was but none of the doctors could give them any answers to comfort their worries. Finally, a specialist they took him to decided to have little Steven undergo an MRI and it was then that they discovered "spots" all over his brain and spine. Those spots were little tumors that were spreading everywhere. His parents were in disbelief because Steven only complained about intense pain in his stomach but not his head or back so how could it be brain cancer? That is how this all started and so shortly after he began to undergo his chemotherapy.

When you see little Steven, you would never think anything was wrong because of his unexplicable ability to brighten up the entire room with his charming smile and joyful personality. Everyone who met him would instantly fall in love with him in a heartbeat. Has was fighting cancer for four years and was so strong through it all. I'm not sure if he was being strong because he was capable or because heunderstood and wanted to show his family he was strong so they can be strong with him. You could have never guessed that he was in any pain because of how full of joy he always was. Even after his long, intense chemo sessions, you'd find little Steven singing and dancing to Michael Jackson(one of his favorites) bringing happiness to everyone around him even though he was the one battling for his life. Steven was a strong, smart, loving and caring little man. He leaves behind, with love And God by his side, His father Esteban, his mother Araceli and his two brothers Richard and Hector. He was the youngest of 3 boys.

You might be asking yourself at this point who I am. Well, I am one of the many employees that work at the bank where this family has gone to for years. Steven was only 2 years old when he'd come running through those doors to see us. The family came in often and so everyone became very familiar with them and of course fell in love with Steven. Years passed and we all bonded with this strong, loving, caring family. They were more than just customers to us. They were, and are, like family to us. That is why we want to help them in any way shape or form. Tragically, Steven lost his long. tough battle with cancer at the age of 5. We managed to be there with Steven in those last, quiet and sad moments of his beautiful life. Right by his side till the end. That is why we are asking for donations. We know that money can never fix or replace Steven in any way, but if we can help cover all those years of medical expenses and be able to help such a good family in their time of need, well then that's one less thing they will have to worry about.

We love you so much little man. We will do everything we can to make your transition into heaven as easy as possible for your family. This isn't a "goodbye" it's a "see you later". Rest in peace Steven.
