Nacho Nava's Legacy + Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Our beloved Ignacio "Nacho" Nava Jr. left us on Saturday, January 19th, surrounded by so much love. He left a mark on Los Angeles, especially DTLA, that will continue on through the many people whose lives he affected, and the friends and family who love him dearly.
Nacho dedicated his life to nurturing authentic and emerging talent, changing our perspective of what art was "supposed to look like", sharing his love of music and the arts with the people he loved, creating community, and connecting people. His beautiful spirit is living on through his friends + family and the support of causes he consistently gave back to.
Many people have reached out asking how they can help. We would love to honor Nacho by hosting a "Celebration of Life" event and continuing his legacy by supporting the causes and communities he dedicated his life to serving. Nacho's impact on the world is so much bigger than we can put into words but putting his energy into lighting the way for other people is a legacy that would honor him in a way he would be proud of.
He really wanted to help others and make a difference. . The funds will go to setting up a scholarship and/or memorial fund in his name to benefit the non-profit causes + communities he devoted his life to serving: homelessness, the LGBTQI community, and the progressive arts.
Carina Diaz, has been appointed as beneficiary and will withdraw funds directly into an account set up for this organization. All proceeds from any events will go directly to the memorial/legacy fund (still to be determined but will be updated here in the upcoming weeks).
Thank you so much for the outpouring of love for this beautiful soul. He deserves this and so much more!
A special thanks from his parents Diana Meyer and Ignacio Nava to everyone that has contributed and have shown endless support ♥️
