Our beautiful Mum, Julie Dawn Dickerson, passed away on 4 May 2019 in Adelaide.
We are forever heartbroken, but all of her pain is finally over.
An incredible mother, a sister, a nanna, an aunty, a cousin, a friend.
A survivor of The Stolen Generations, our Mum was forcibly removed from her family in Geraldton at the age of 2.
Despite a lifetime of struggle and heartache, she was the most compassionate soul we have ever known.
If you had the opportunity to meet, spend some time with or to get to know our beautiful kind and gentle Mum, you have been forever changed by her generous and loving heart. She was always there to make you laugh, share a smile or wise words with you, had time to give to anyone in need and just helped you feel comfortable, warm and welcome. A cuppa, a meal, a hug, a roof - she would do anything she needed to do to give comfort to others.
Her love and care for all people was boundless. She gave and gave, never asking for anything in return.
Mum lived many lifetimes in her 61 years and deserves the best we can give her. It is now time for us to lift her, celebrate her life and honour her final wish.
Mum wants to be laid to rest in to her home town of Geraldton. We would love to be able to return our mum to the country she was born on.
The funds raised will be used to transport Mum from Adelaide over to Geraldton and to cover all of the associated costs of laying her to rest, including helping with family travel costs.
