New Home for Miniature Museum

Help! The Denver Museum of Miniatures Dolls and Toys (DMMDT) has lost its lease and

We need your help to purchase a NEW HOME for our Treasures!

For the past 29 years we have been housed in the Pearce-McAllister Cottage, a wonderful house at 1880 Gaylord St, owned by History Colorado.  Unfortunately, they  decided to repurpose the house and we must move.  We are excited to announce that we have found a new location at 830 Kipling St. Lakewood!  This property is just off of 6th avenue and will allow us to open in stages as we raise funds. The first phase will begin immediately! We are working  to raise the funds to renovate the first section of our new home.

Phase 1 will allow us to move our collection out of storage and open public galleries. We'll be updating this page with specific dollar amounts soon!

The DMMDT has been entrusted with preserving Colorado’s childhood and we want to do that for generations to come.  The Museum gives people the opportunity to share and make memories with family and friends.  It is a venue for collectors to share and explore their passion.  It is a place of learning where history and art meet humanity.  Last year we had the pleasure of serving 14,000 visitors coming through our doors as well as providing outreach programs, workshops for adults and children, and our annual Fall Miniature Show.

Without support and help from you and our community, small Museums such as ours are rapidly falling to the wayside for high-rise apartments and big box stores.   Without a place to explore the joys of the past, to imagine the future, and to have a creative outlet for fun flights of fantasy--- all will be diminished.  Please help us in our goal to re-open the Museum to the public and to keep the wonderful world of miniatures, dolls, and toys alive.

The first tier of the Capital Campaign is underway, a year-end online goal of $100,000 toward the renovation ofour new home.
