Shhh this is a SURPRISE :)
Hi Family and Friends!
If you know my mom, you know her as a loving, free spirit who loves to sing and has spent most of her years to being a selfless mom, always putting her needs last, sacrificing and doing all she can to make her husband and kids happy (including her favorite, her grandson DJ :) I know it's cliche, but she really would give you the shirt off her back or just sit with you and talk about anything and everything.
What you may or may not know is that my mom was recently diagnosed with cancer and is scheduled to start her chemotherapy soon. I sit here and think about it and it breaks my heart to think about her tough road ahead. But this is by no means a pity party...
If you've talked to my mom, she's so optimistic and hopeful and although I know she is scared, she is trying so hard to be positive about her experience. She talks about the awesome testimony she'll have once she recovers and continues to teach me about love, stength and that everything happens for a reason.
All that being said, I made this page to send her on a surprise getaway trip before things get "tough" for her. November 1st is my parents 30th Anniversary which would be a perfect oppurtunity for a getaway. It's also her birthday month. Medical bills have already started piling up and I know they don't have any extra money to go somewhere nice.
I want to show her how much she is loved and she's always wanted to do a bed and breakfast and loves red wine so I'm planning a Napa Valley Winery experience at a luxury Bed and Breakfast, complete with all the bells an whistles. Maybe even a relaxing massage if budget allows.
Unfortunately, Napa is not cheap.
Anything you can donate will be a blessing. And even if you don't have funds to give, that's ok too! All I ask is for is to keep her in your prayers.
Every penny will go to her getaway and anything left over I will be giving to her to help pay her medical bills.
Again, this is a surprise! We'll gift it to her in 3 weeks and I will be sure to update you guys as soon as she knows! Please remember to keep it a secret until then. Thanks again!
