We Love Jillian

Jillian is a 31 year old nurse. She was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer when she was 16 weeks pregnant with her third child. Jillian has since given birth to her third child and is now in the fight of her life. She has been given less than 2 years to live.
I have worked with Jillian for many years; she is one of the most compassionate, caring and humble nurses that I have worked with who puts her patients above all else.
Jillian was only back to work for 3 days before finding out she had breast cancer and because of this, her place of employment can do nothing for her financially. She is not entitled to sick leave, short term leave or long term. Her husband has to work double hours to cover the bills when he should be spending what precious time is left with his family.
I asked my fellow nurses for some words to describe Jillian and this is what followed:
“Kindest,” “Most caring,” “One of the special few who nurse very naturally because she loves what she has chosen to do as a career,” “Dedicated,” “Compassionate,” “Thoughtful,” “Delightful,” and “Fun loving.”
Our goal is to raise enough money to cover her bills and provide some care for her three young children.
It's time to care for the caregiver.
