As much as I can talk, I'm not good with these things so bear with me & don't get emotional on me either lol.
I have started this campaign to help my best friend with her fight against liver cancer. People say if you need help, just ask, so I am asking.
Jenn's Story:
"Hi, my name is Jennifer I am 27 years old and battling breast cancer. I was 26 years old and about 20 weeks pregnant when i was diagnosed with breast cancer on my left breast. After i found out my life changed not only because of the cancer but also because I was expecting my first child. I was happy and depressed at the same time. Doctors told me if i was in my first trimester they would have given me the option of terminating my pregnancy, but since i was on my second most of the baby's major organs were developed and chemo was just a little safer but there still was a chance of some disfunction. I had my first surgery in march of 2011 while being pregnant then right after I started my chemotherapy A/C in a matter of one week after my first session on chemo I lost my hair, that was my down fall my hair was long and beautiful. My emotions were all over the place I just kept asking god why me? I cried myself to sleep every night! But at the end of it I would think about the child growing inside of me. My family really supported me 100% i couldn't believe how much they have helped me thru out this whole entire journey. I always looked forward to my sonograms n going home to show them. My son is who saved my life and I love him to death."
She finished chemo & radiation in 2013 at 28 years old & has been cancer free for 2 years...
....up until 3 weeks ago. She went in for a routine check up, since it's been a while....they found abnormalities in her liver. A tumor the size of a larg Orange. It has stemmed from her breast cancer & has had about 4 years of growth to get to its size. Since she's healthy, they want to remove the tumor ASAP, then test the tumor, once removed to get all of the detail on what stage cancer she is in. At this point there is no use in beginning chemo & radiation to shrink the mass, she will begin chemo 8 weeks after surgery.
Here is where we need help. Her surgery is at 5am on Tuesday May 19. Her health insurance provided by her employer, has changed. She had no deductibles or co-pays the first time, but now, she does. I am trying to raise $5000 to help with the tests that were run before the surgery, the procedure, hospital stay, doctor's visits & chemotherapy sessions. No donation is too small, even a prayer is appreciated. Thank you all <3
