Echo Restaurant Fire-Relief Fund

As many of you know, on April 27th there was a fire at Echo restaurant in downtown Brattleboro. No one was injured, and the damage seems to be mainly contained to the brick pizza oven. Echo has been closed this week as damages were assesed and cleaning and restoration efforts have begun. The staff and community are hopeful for a speedy re-opening, but if you have worked in the service industry or know someone that has, you know that these individuals rely on tips as the major source of income and any day not open impacts the restaurant as a whole. The crew at Echo are grateful that insurance is covering some of the losses, but it will not fully cover tips and the fire occured just three days before rent was due. The staff at Echo are not just co-workers, they are family. So they are rallying, they are working hard to rise up and return to what they do best as quickly as possible. But this family needs our help. If you have dined at Echo, or Fireworks, you know the hospitality they show their customers. It is time for us to offer that energy and love back to them. Doesn't matter the size of the donation, whatever you can give, joined with the gifts of other community members, will be much appreciated. For every $25 you donate, a raffle ticket with your name on it will be entered to win a growing number of prizes. So if you donate $50, your name goes in twice, $100, your name goes in four times—you get the idea. The Echo crew is in need of this support sooner than later so we are aiming to reach our goal in 3-4 weeks and we will draw names for the raffle at that time. Updates will occur regularly.
