Mike Horne, longtime manager of the Compleat Strategist and beloved friend to many, passed away suddenly late Saturday night, January 17. He leaves behind many who miss him dearly, but most of all, he leaves behind his beloved partner of many years Carol. If you love Mike, you love Carol, too. You will not find many finer people in the world.
This is what makes it so confusing and upsetting that Carol should be in such a precarious position following Mike's death. Stuck with an awful, low-paying temp job, completely unsupportive parents, and a host of other terrible things on her plate—things that no person grieving for the loss of a loved one should have to face— Carol could use our help. This is why we, her friends, want to do what we can to make sure that she's got some cushion for rent, potential moving expenses, and general daily living expenses.
Whether you can only spare a couple bucks or many, it would be a very kind gesture of friendship, love, and goodwill. Pay it forward!
