Wells Denison

Friday, February 10th, 2023, our world was turned upside down.

Wells had a fever and was complaining of arm pain since the previous Saturday before. 7 days of fever and extreme shoulder pain basically fast tracked us through the pediatrician’s office and ER. From there we learned Wells has Leukemia based on blood lab restults. The doctors assured us this is not something he was born with, nor something he has had for more than a few weeks to a month.

We learned yesterday that his exact type of Leukemia is Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, B cell. We have been assured this is the most treatable prognosis, and they will begin treatment right away. Their goal is to cure this disease and make sure it never comes back.

Tomorrow morning Wells will have surgery and start chemotherapy. We are looking at a long road ahead, but are very hopeful our strong boy will kick cancer’s ass.

We ask that you please respect our privacy in this sensitive time. Wells is now considered immunocompromised, and we will not be having any visitors at this time. Feel free to comment below with your love and well-wishes, but currently we are being bombarded by text messages and phone calls.
