I am setting this fund up for Marina, to raise money for therapy in the wake of being sexually assaulted and then having that assault be publically discussed online.

Marina was brave enough to speak out against their abuser even though he was a powerful public figure. The first time they did, he used his platform to disparage them. This second time, their assault has become central to Twitter discourse. Both times they have received a large amount of hateful engagement.

Marina makes their living online. They can't detach, even if they had the willpower (few of us would). They have given me permission to raise $2,400. This would cover the cost of weekly therapy for 6 months.

However, my hope is that we get a bit more, enough so that they can safely cover their rent and bills for a few months without having to be online while this is happening.
