Hello my dear family, friends & Go Fund Me Angels, I’m writing to make a personal plea so please hear me out. My dear friend Johnnett was recently diagnosed with Lung Cancer.Trying to digest this news ,as she is not a smoker, along with being laid off due to Covid 19 and turmoil and civil unrest in our country, has sparked fear, anxiety and panic in her.
My dear friend wonderfully creative and resilient friend, is an actress, chef and all around hustl-er in Los Angeles.
( If you live in LA, you have to be a hustl-er)
She has not had it easy while following her dreams but she’s always got a can-do attitude, due to COVID and the industry completely shutting down, she has had to hustle even more, then her unemployment didn’t come through makes a difficult situation more difficult, but over the last few months, I have watched her PUSH through! Johnnett will be having surgery in July 2020 & medical bills, from scans ,X rays and beyond are beginning to come in. And, as I said above, Insurance is not enough to pay these bills.
Johnnett is determined NOT to allow her current Cancer diagnosis and financial situation dictate her joy. She has started baking & cooking to maintain and try to keep her current insurance, as she does not want to lose her current team of doctors, while she waits on a resolution from unemployment. She is trying to make it all work.
BUT no amount of baking and unemployed can combat the mountain of bills she will be left with once her lung surgery and treatment are complete. Johnnett did not want me to create a GoFundMe on her behalf, but as her surgery draws near, she has given me & the other members of her Wellness from Cancer Support Team... The Green Light!
