Well… we need a WELL drilled

Hi friends…

I’m in a desperate emergency situation currently. Fenn and I narrowly escaped homelessness and moved back to NS. Since we arrived the house has been riddled with issues, most I didn’t know about. I did my due diligence and paid an inspector, tested the well and septic which cost me $1200 and it seems those inspections were a waste of money. They didn’t tell us the well was unusable and legally they didn’t have to… which I don’t understand.

We have a poorly old dug stone well that’s only 6 feet, it’s been dry since we arrived. I have had to haul in 8 loads of water so far at $30 a load and every time it seeps into the ground before we can even use it.

We can’t shower, cook, clean, flush toilets or do laundry. It’s gross. And Fenn is starting a new school without being able to shower for days/weeks. Not okay.

Ive checked all my options, the NS government will only help after I’ve been living in the home for a year minimum. The well guy finances but I can’t afford the payments. It’s going to cost between 9k-12k, I put the cheapest option and am mildly optimistic. He has to drill 100-300 feet to find water.

any donation helps, even if I can get part of it paid for I may be able to carry a smaller loan amount if I have to. The house needs a lot of work I was not told about, not just water… our solution to homelessness has ended up in another kind of nightmare.

on top of the that our landlord tricked us with cash for keys so he could sell and gave us a bad cheque and said he is not replacing it so that’s another reason I can’t afford these payments, I have ppl to pay for the move still that I borrowed from in desperation that I will need make monthly payments too now to pay back thanks to the landlord. (About 20k)

I live on a very limited income of disability payments and that’s the only money I have, no savings, and a jacked up credit card from all the things going wrong here.
