Welcome To The World Kenni Jo Gnipp!

It was just another normal day on what was to be Kellee and Adam’s last vacation childless. They had booked an impromptu trip together to the Bahamas to relax, but to their surprise on the night of August 8th, Kellee had some pregnancy concerns and bleeding. Her doctor told her to get to a hospital immediately, which left Kellee and Adam feeling anxious as they were in another country. They made it to an ER and Kellee had to go in alone (due to Covid procedures). They quickly transferred Kellee to another hospitals maternity ward.

On August 9, 2022 at 1:26pm KENNI JO GNIPP made her appearance. She is 10 weeks early, weighing in at 3lbs. .09oz. and 14.96 inches long. Kenni was immediately taken to Princess Margaret NICU, which was part of a completely separate hospital from where Kellee had to deliver. Adam was able to go with Kenni (leaving Kellee alone) but he was only allowed to see her for about 30 minutes. Leaving Kellee and Adam patiently waiting to hear that their daughter was healthy and alright.

Kellee, Adam, and Kenni spent the next couple days in the hospital(s) being monitored and working with the staff and insurance companies on how to get Kenni back to the states and home safely.

On August 11th, Kellee and Adam were given only one option to get home with Kenni: to place her on a private air ambulance with a team of doctors to transport them back to Pittsburgh. This had to be paid out of pocket, starting at $35,000. With only Kenni’s best interest in mind, Kellee and Adam paid the fees so they could get back home to their doctors. They are currently residing as a family at West Penn Hospital in the NICU. Kenni is expected to stay there for at least 8 more weeks as she continues to grow into a beautiful baby girl!

I know Kellee and Adam have been beyond stressed about the health and wellness of Kenni, but also all of the expenses they have had to pay to get Kenni back home safely. While on the island, they had to pay everything up front and out of pocket. They had to use all credit cards, savings, and gather help from their family to ensure Kenni and Kellee got everything they needed to remain healthy and get home. I know they haven’t been able to even think of what the incoming medical bills are going to be for such a lengthy stay in the NICU.

The Gnipp’s appreciate any prayers, donations, and support during this scary time for their family! They are filled with joy to meet Kenni, and will do anything to keep her safe and healthy! Kellee and Adam are trying to keep up with all of the messages they are receiving, but they ask for your patience and understand during this time, as they are trying to stay disconnected and spend as much time with Kenni as possible.

Updates are to come!! You can follow this page as I’ll be keeping updates posted- one less thing Kellee and Adam have to do. THANK YOU ALL AND THE GNIPP’S SEND THEIR LOVE! Kenni cannot wait until she can meet all of you!
