Welcome Home Romer after 31 Years
Our friend Romer, who we've been working with through the Parole Preparation Project, is about to come home after serving 31 years in prison. He's 79 years old and is entering the NYC shelter system where he'll be staying until he can get a parole transfer to go live with family in Tennessee. These types of transfers are unpredictable and can unfortunately take many months to be approved, so we're hoping to gather as many donations as possible to ensure he has the resources he needs to take care of himself in the meantime.
At his age and having been incarcerated for so long, Romer has limited remaining community and is unable to work. We'd like to get him started with enough money for the medication he needs, transportation, clothing, food, and other necessities as they come up. We hope you'll consider contributing what you can and helping him rebuild his life on the outside!
Thank you so much for your help, and please share this widely to help us reach our goal!
In gratitude,
Antara, David, and Sacha
