Melissa and Kenault and Devario have been waiting to be together as a family since the day Devario was born and now they may finally have that chance ... in time for Christmas!
Kenault grew up in Front Royal, Virginia, where he fell in love with and married his high school sweetheart Melissa. In 2012, when Melissa was pregnant with their first child, the U.S. government detained and then deported Kenault because of marijuana convictions in his past. But they never gave up on being a family. Devario is 10, and wears his dad's jersey number when he plays football.
Now finally, after so many years, the U.S. government has given Kenault permission to come back to the U.S. and reunite with Melissa and Devario.
Please help us welcome Kenault home by contributing to a Welcome Fund to cover expenses associated with Kenault's return (including his plane ticket) and to support Kenault and Melissa in making their family's first Christmas together as special as possible.
The U.S. government's unjust treatment of Kenault and his family can never truly be repaired, but we can make them feel loved and welcome in their long overdue reunification!!
