Raising money for a down payment on a home.
On July 18th, 2021, Lois’s 35-year-old daughter, Amber, was rushed to the hospital with the sensation of numbing in her legs and feet. Eventually this numbing continued up her body leaving her paralyzed as a quadriplegic. Amber was examined by multiple doctors at various hospitals where they discovered inflammation in her spinal cord, a condition called Transverse Myelitis (TM).
Amber had been living in New York while her mother Lois was working and living in a small one-bedroom apartment in Vista CA. Lois has chosen to bring Amber to California to take care of her full-time. She will need a bigger residence to care for her daughter's medical needs. They would like to buy a permanent home for the two of them to feel safe and secure.
Our wish is to help Lois and her daughter Amber raise enough money for a down payment on a simple home. They don’t need much; just enough space for a wheelchair. They will arrive back to California on an Amtrak train on November 7th. There will be many challenges ahead for Amber, so we would like to help her feel as comfortable as possible to adjust to her new surroundings.
It is not easy for Lois and Amber to agree publicly to ask for help, but they are sincerely grateful. Any amount is extremely appreciated! Please share with your family and friends. Thank you very much!
