Memorial Bench for Dean Sawyer

Hello, friends of Dean Sawyer.

As you know, our beloved friend, Dean Sawyer, passed away last fall.

In his memory, we are starting this GoFundMe to raise money to purchase a bench in his name in Cadboro Bay’s Gyro Park. Dean was a long-time resident of Cadboro Bay and touched the lives of so many people. His generous, fun-loving spirit and kindness were felt by many people in our community and beyond. We thought this would be a meaningful way to honour Dean and ensure his spirit and love for life were remembered.

The bench with a plaque costs $3,400. It would be installed in late fall of 2025, and we would post pictures to celebrate.
