Hello, my name is BenXin Lin. My father WeiTian Lin passed away on December 24th 2017 at the age of 47, leaving my mother, grandma, grandpa, and my 11-year old sister behind. We later found out the cause of the death, myocardial infarction. He left so suddenly that my mother still can’t accept the truth. It's been difficult for my family, as my mother is so overcome with grief that she is mentally unavailable to both me and my sister. He was a kind father, a good husband, as my mom always said.
My parents are the only source of income for the family, and now that my father is gone and my mother is still recovering, the burden is on me. I am a college student at SUNY New Paltz with a major in Computer Science. Like most college students, I have a student debt on me. I work two part-time jobs and only have a little extra money to support myself.
