Stefanie Petr Ashdown is the daughter of Greg and Debra Petr who reside in Severna Park, Maryland.  Stefanie was raised in the community of Manhattan Beach since her birth on September 16th, 1978. She lived with her parents until starting college at Salisbury State University in 1996.  At college she met the love of her life Bob Ashdown and they were married on the first of Spring on March 20, 1999.  She now resides in Arnold, Maryland, with her husband and three children, Owen age 10, Acadia age 8, and Violet age 6.  Stefanie’s Fight against cancer started in early October 2014 when she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.  She had extensive surgery on October 14, 2014, by Dr. Neil B. Rosenshein, from the Gynecologic Oncology Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. The surgery was successful, but the cancer could not be completely removed. Stefanie is now undergoing chemotherapy.  Stefanie is a fighter and has courageously withstood many chemo treatments and small setbacks.  She stays as active as possible, biking on a stationary bike in her living room, running, and walking whenever possible.  Fitness has always been a top priority in her life, which has definitely benefited her in this fight.  Please consider supporting Stefanie and her family by making a donation to help with medical expenses and the loss of wages.  Your support would be greatly appreciated!
