HEART TRANSPLANT

Donation protected
My name is Sharon Madray   I would like to tell my story leading up to where I am now, ready for a Heart Transplant.  I have Cardio Myopothathy.  This is where I was born with a heart disorder but was unaware of it until I was 49 years old (in 2006).  I got a virus and it attacked the weakest part of my body.  I thought that I had Walking Pneumonia and went to the Doctor and they did chest x-rays and sent me home with an inhaler.  That weekend, I became so sick and weak; I couldn’t get off of the couch.  Prior to this, I was a General Contractor and an Accountant and all I knew was 100 MPH.  I went to the ER and they began to run test and that when I learned what was going on.  The Doctors sent me to Palm Beach for a Pacemaker/defibrillator on February 6, 2006, but I didn’t know, the device had been recalled on February 1, 2006 and was defective, yet the Physicians still inserted into my chest.  I immediately began getting shocked (up to 44 times a week).  It took some 5 years and going off a mountain after moving to NC in my vehicle.  Finally, November 11, 2011, I totally flat-lined 3 times in the hospital and they shipped me back to Palm Beach for a new heart device.

Cardio Myopathy is a heart disease that allows 100% of the blood to pump into your heart but only a small portion to pump out of your heart.  My ejection fraction is  ONLY 17%.  That is how much that pumps out so in turn it enlarges your heart.  The average female heart weighs 250 grams and mine weighs approximately 1500 grams (6 times the average) so the heart muscle walls are so thin, the physicians fear the walls BURSTING.

In 2006, I was told that I was on the Heart Transplant list and again in 2011.  Never being on THE HEART TRANSPLANT LIST  or knowing anyone who has, I didn’t know the procedure.  I learned 2 months ago that I HAD NEVER BEEN ON THE LIST.  After waiting for 11 years, I am NO ON THE LISTt and begin my classes this month and go for my pre-op test March 28th.  I still have my portion of the bill to pay and out of pocket expenses, which total right at $114,000.00.  I have depleted all of my assets because Blue Cross Blue Shield dropped my coverage during my first surgery.

I am so grateful to anyone that helps me with these bills.  Anyone that is not comfortable donating through gofundme.com certainly may help by mailing any amount of help to: Sharon Madray 324 Lower Lane Murphy, NC 28906.

I am so excited to start the next Journey of my life because I am so full of Life.  I have always been a Go-Get-Er!  With my Drive, passion and love for Life, I hope the World is ready for me!

I am a 60 year old very Faith-based Grandmother who is seeking funds for my portion of a HEART TRANSPLANT.  It looks like it will be a NEW mechanical Heart, so far.  I am grateful for any type of heart, GOD grants me with.  I am craving to get my life back.  I have such a desire and passion to live.  I was raised that working was a privilege and I am so excited to get a new heart and get back to work,  my activities, enjoying my Daughter and Granddaughter and Just Living a Real Productive Life!.  I have continued to remain upbeat and not let any of this whip me!   It is understandable, yet, has broken my heart that my only Granddaughter has not been able to even ride in the vehicle with me.  Please be a part of my Journey and watch the next phase of my Life by helping me financially?
