My name is Heather and I have been fighting a rare form of breast cancer for the past 4.5 years. I was recently hospitalized, due to shortness of breath, and new discoveries needing further testing. I have to be at Moffitt every day next week for testing. I am out of PTO and will not receive any income which, is quite scary, with all our bills due. Any help is more than appreciated, I am very embarrassed to even ask

Update:

I talked to my oncologist and our kids so now I can talk more openly. While in the hospital, "innumerable" lung nodules as well as 2 spots on my brain were seen on my imaging. My oncologist is assuming these are both cancerous areas but do not currently know.

I will be seeing a neurosurgeon to see if brain surgery is required or if those areas can be treated with radiation. Radiation would need to be completed first, followed by chemotherapy.

Round 3...here we go!

My oncologist said I may need to be out of work for a while but we won't know yet for how long (he made it sound like months) That being said, any donations are truly valued!! Once I know more, I can adjust the goal for this fundraiser based on how long I need to be out of work.

I know this has been a LONG haul for everyone over the past 4 years and every single prayer, good thought or donation have not been taken lightly. I would never have gotten this far without all your love!!
