Help for Andee

EDIT: As some of you may have heard, the greatest delivery man of all time, Jack Voltz, passed away on the morning of June 5th. He expressed how thankful he was to all of you for your kindness during his time of need. His wife Andee has been working almost everyday since his passing. His wish was to have his ashes spread on Catalina island, with his wife & his good friends all together to celebrate him. I’m keeping this go fund me open for those who are able to donate. We are hoping to unburden some of Andees financial strain. We appreciate all of you more than you know.

with lots of love, Andee, Yogi the bichon and the Armstrong McCall south Austin family <3

Jack, aka Dad, has been a part of our Armstrong McCall Family for over 6 years, but he has been a part of the Austin Stylist community for over 20 years. Jack and his wife Andee opened their salon in sleepy South Austin in the 1980’s, where Jack did it all, helping Andee and their team become one of the TOP Paul Mitchell retail salons in the country! After selling the salon and heading into partial retirement, Jack found his dream post-retirement job with Armstrong McCall, delivering products and sarcastic jokes to his people: the salons and stylists of South Austin. Jack (Dad) took care of the Armstrong McCall “girls” while rocking his signature short-cropped purple hair (Paul Mitchell, of course).

November 2022: After multiple tests and biopsies, Jack was diagnosed with Lupus & a fractured vertebrae. Upon further scans they figured out he had a tumor on his adrenal gland that was causing the fracture. They were unable to remove it with surgery and he is now undergoing chemo. After several sessions of radiation, they've come to a diagnoses of "cancer of an unknown origin". His medication is not covered by insurance, and honestly, a lot of much-needed items. We are asking for help to alleviate some of their financial burden.

Andee is still seeing clients at Grapevine Salon, still attending classes, still learning and still sharing her passion for hair. And to complement her fierce partner, rocking purple hair!

We miss Dad dearly and can't wait for him to recover. And we are holding his prized delivery position for him, so he will be in your salons again soon. With yet another sarcastic joke!
