Wee Explorers Preschool- Bathroom Addition!
Wee Explorers is a 501(c)3 non-profit, parent collaborative preschool and was first established in 1973. We serve 24 families from six surrounding towns. We provide children with a nurturing environment rich in opportunities for developing social skills, language and literacy, creative expression, science and mathematical concepts. Children engage in hands-on learning opportunities, work together to problem solve and build teamwork skills.
Love of education- for reading, learning, discovery, nature- takes root in preschool.
We partner with local schools to provide Vermont’s Universal Pre-K education. That means parents pay little or no tuition to attend WeeX. Providing quality prekindergarten education at affordable costs has been our mission for nearly forty-six years; however as a non-profit organization, funds are limited.
This summer we are very excited about the prospect of building a classroom bathroom with two child sized potties and one child sized sink!
This construction project will:
*Reduce student time out of the classroom especially as they are waiting for other friends! This means less student wait time out of the classroom and more time engaged in classroom activities!
*Reduce teacher time out of the classroom since a teacher must walk kiddos down the hall to our current bathrooms. A classroom bathroom will allow teachers to be more available to work with children in the classroom!
* Encourage independence as children will be able to respond to their physical needs more quickly!
*Reduce potty accidents!
Please consider donating to our cause! We have nearly half the cost already saved for this project and need your help to raise the remaining funds! We have a group of generous families that are willing to donate their time to complete it, so this is the time to build!
Any funds raised above our goal will go towards our project!
