Wee Annie’s vet bill.

Hi, my name is Derek and I’m raising funds to help pay Wee Annie’s vet bill after she was put to sleep this afternoon.
michele and I gifted Annie to a lady in our village almost seven years ago as the lady and her son had lost there young husband and dad prior to this. We became best friends with them. People used to comment and say that giving Annie was the best thing we could ever have done in our lives. It helped them overcome their grief of losing a loved one. Annie was seen daily in our village on her many walks in all weathers. She would pop into the local butcher’s for her bit of spam treat. She would go to bereavement centre, she would go for bar lunches in Dunfermline and as far as Edinburgh and Newcastle on the train. This wee dog was gods gift to mum and her boy. Their life revolved around this wee treasure they had. On Saturday Wee Annie came into our shop for a groom and we noticed she looked slightly bloated and told the lady. Wee Annie was rushed to the vet where she had bloods taken and scans taken and all sorts. She was kept in overnight on a drip and let out on Sunday afternoon with steroids on the understanding that it was only for her last few days. She was found to have a huge mass in her belly the size of a melon. The vet said that they could operate but chances are it would not make any difference and that it would cost in excess of £10.000. The lady is a carer on minimum wage and does not have this type of capital to pay for an operation which they were told probably be a waste of time and Annie wouldn’t make it. Annie’s bill was nearing £1500 already. It was decided between all to let Wee Annie cross rainbow bridge after spending her final few days with the family. I went with them this afternoon to the vets and watched as she slipped away peacefully. The family are devastated. Wee Annie Banana as she was known is now buried in the woods to the back of our house beside two others (Murphy and Trouble) whom we raised and lost over the years. So many people in our local village know this couple and their Wee Annie. This wee dog put so many happy smiles on so many faces. I have put this go fund me up to try and help soften the blow by helping pay for their vet bill. Some people don’t like to do PayPal but if you wish to do so you can always drop a donation into Michele’s dog grooming shop at 33 Montrose crescent Lochore.
RIP ANNIE.
Thank you so much in advance to everyone who helps.
