Wednesday Night Dinner Recipe Book

We have exciting news: We’re fundraising to publish Joann Pfeiffer's almost-finished recipe book, “Wednesday Night Dinner.” As our friends, family, and even strangers know by now, Joann has been perfecting her Italian home cooking for more than 50 years. And every Wednesday night in her Oakland kitchen for about the last 15, she’s brought together family and friends for potluck meals centered around her favorite entrees, good wine, and love. And laughter. Lots and lots of laughter.

Just like her meals, “Wednesday Night Dinner” has been made with love and family. While Joann shared recipes passed down to her – putting many into writing for the first time – her daughter Jenny photographed the dishes and her daughter Lisa illustrated the book. It’s been edited by Wednesday Night-regular and book editor Donita Boles, and designed by Edi Berton, sister of Joann’s amazingly kind and wildly handsome son-in-law Justin, who wrote the introduction to the book and a few other things for this project...
