Help Stacey Howell Fight Stage IV Cancer
Donation protected
In July 2017, Stacey was diagnosed with Stage III triple negative aggressive breast cancer and thyroid cancer. After two rounds of chemotherapy and one round of radiation, Stacey believed she was on the road to recovery. She had a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. She continued to experience pain in her chest and ribs.
At a follow-up appointment in October 2018, a PET scan showed a lesion on Stacey's rib. Additional testing showed in June 2019 that the breast cancer had metastasized and the lesion that was found was cancerous. Stacey, once again, began chemotherapy to fight what is now diagnosed as Stage IV triple negative aggressive breast cancer.
Xeloda chemotherapy was brutal and took a toll on Stacey. She began having severe headaches, dizziness and trouble with vision. An Emergency Room visit in September showed that the cancer had once again spread. Unfortunately, this time the tests results showed that the cancer had spread to her brain. They discontinued the chemotherapy and decided that radiation would be the best option for Stacey. Seventeen tumors were located throughout her brain.
Stacey is a 38 year old mother of an amazing ten year old son, Tristen. He is her world. He has been by her side, cheering her on, throughout her entire journey, along with her friends and family. Due to these unfortunate circumstances Stacey has been unable to work since 2017 and has struggled financially to provide as a single mother.
This Friday Stacey will begin a new round of treatment to go along with her radiation. Your financial assistance during this critical time would help to fund the cost of treatments, medications and day-to-day expenses.
Our family has done our very best to help Stacey through this difficult time financially, but we need your help! Please consider donating to help Stacey fight this horrible disease and to continue a long, happy life as a cancer survivor.
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and support during this difficult time!
