OUR WEDDING REGISTRY.

Hey everyone,
Our wedding is June 17th! You probably knew that because it's actually biologically impossible for us to shut up about it. Science.
To our married friends, you already know the struggle of planning a wedding (extra credit if you were married in New York $ity.) We have a great party planned with the help of Ed Zipco at the amazing Superchief Gallery ( in Ridgewood). Our reception is planned to be held at The Gateway, our favorite venue (also owned by some of our dearest homies.) We can't wait to see and party with all of you.
However, there are a LOT of you. Mel and I have been blessed with an amazing crew - literally dozens and dozens of people indispensable to our happiness. To accommodate everyone, we are planning for up to 300 people at our reception, 150 at the wedding ceremony.
We've been asked many times about our wedding registry. It warms our hearts to have so many of you want to contribute to our home with gifts. To be honest, we live in a pretty small BK apartment (realtors would call it "cozy") and our long-term plans involve saving as much as possible in the short term so we can start our lives together on good footing. We have tons of forks and even a juicer! I don't think we can fit more "things" in here.
So, I guess what we're getting at, is please help us honor what Melissa and I feel is the most important day in our lives with as many of the people we love in attendance. The more we can afford to spend on the wedding the more of the people that have led us to this moment can show up. That is very important to me.
In short, instead of IKEA gift certificates and Williams and Sonoma spatulas, we could really use some financial love for the wedding. The monetary "goal" is somewhat arbitrary and simply specified because I had to put some number in there. Anything is appreciated, and if you really really want to get us monogrammed towels, we won't hate on 'em.

P.S. Writing this took a minute because neither of us is reeeeally comfortable with personal GoFundMe projects. We're squeamish about attempting to direct anyone's generosity. So if you are furrowing your brow right now about some rule of etiquette that I've inadvertently ignored, let's pretend I did it right because all this is new to me and I'm not perfect. Please?
