Technology jobs are in high demand and pay well.  Giving at risk / homeless youth skills in technical career tracks will provide them a platform to stand on and aid in catapulting them out of a life of homelessness.  Many programs out there Band-Aid the problem by dealing with the symptoms of the problem rather than the core problem itself.  I believe giving individuals the skills they need to be self-sustaining is a key factor in reducing and or eliminating homelessness.

I am actively engaged in teaching technical skills to underprivileged youth.  I have an introductory course established for basic web development skills (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and am expanding on to C# (another programming language).  I present to the students and also provide them with all of the necessary materials to continue learning on their own. 

I am expanding my course curriculum currently with many more technologically based skills tracks to come in the future.  I plan to procure tablets with the funding I receive so the students will have modern devices on which to learn and so that I be flexible and travel to any location with wifi, set up and teach my courses.
