Hello! I'm teaching American Literature at Weaver High School in Hartford, CT. I want to give Weaver students the rigorous, affirming academic experience they deserve. I'd like to get a class set of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book James by Percival Everett so students can analyze and compare it to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I'm also hoping to get a few other titles (All American Boys, American Like Me, American Street, Internment, and Something In Between) so we can do literature circles exploring the themes of what it means to be American, the American experience, and the American Dream.
