GIVE LIGHT TO THE TRIBES
WE ARE ANCIENT INTELLIGENCE
Indigenous communities worldwide help us preserve the ever-shrinking biodiversity that helps of hurting planet keep some balance. Join me in bringing them some LIGHT!!! Solar lamps :)
Who are you helping?
The Arahucos are an ancient indigenous community in Colombia. The Arahuacos live on an isolated pyramid-shaped mountain range called the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain in the world. The Arahucos and they other tribes that inhabit La Sierra believe that this mountain is "The Heart of the World" and they are the "Elder Brothers" who care for it. They are one with nature.
They carry a strong message and we have a lot to learn from them.
How can you help?
1. 200 families need light - Solar Lamps for Women and Children
Our goal is to have 100 families with solar lamps by the end of the year! At the moment they live off the grid and having regenerative energy sources will allow women to weave at night and for young women to be safe walking at night. As illegal farming and settling is moving up the mountains, the young Arahuco women have been victims of sexual assaults. Having portable lights will create a safer environment for the communities.
Here are some photos from my recent trip where I brought 50 solar lamps!
2. Rebuild Community Houses + Arahuacos Schools
50 traditional Arhuaco's homes in La Sierra Nevada that were destroyed on wildfires earlier this winter. Fifty traditional houses of the Arhuaco community, a health post, and a school were consumed by a forest fire in the upper Sierra Nevada. We want to help them rebuild them! Who are you helping?
Why does this matter?
Helping them is helping yourself. It’s helping OUR planet during a time where most of our leaders are refusing to transition into systems that are aligned with the earth that sustains us.
WITH OUR CLEAN AIR, WATER AND SOIL = HUMANS WILL PERISH
There is a fundamental knowledge that these tribes carry, one that is aligned with nature and other beings, the one of planetary unity. The Arahucos believe they exist to care for the world – and we must come together to keep their land un touch.
We must do everything we can to protect ancient intelligence as well as revive our own.
We must come together to protect what we love.
Help me protect La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta
We must protect and land that holds us.
Why am I doing this?
I'm a global citizen originally from Colombia and feel the call to protect what I love; culture and nature!
Please help me harness the power of community and technology to aid these ancient communities that protect our earth! A combination of factors such as climate disruption and lack of sustainable economic opportunities, as well as illegal mining and logging are putting these ancient wisdom keepers at risk.
Climate disruption, illegal settling and other interconnected factors are putting our most vulnerable communities, indigenous tribes, at risk.
We must put our dreams into action. I care for the life of my little niece and all the children that will inhabit this planet once I’m gone. So need to start somewhere. That somewhere is here and right now.

My past work: The Wayuus
In partnership with Hilo Sagrado Foundation this winter, we brought solar lamps to the Wayuu women in the north of Colombia Below you can see the video of my experience with them while I was visiting and working with the community December 2018. They are truly inspiring, hardworking and resilient women.
The effort to continue to bring CLEAN WATER to the Wayuú indigenous people in Colombia still going. This resource has always been scarce in La Guajira, a region characterized by arid and desert landscapes.
Hilo Sagrado Foundation team is aiming to bring more water filters to the community of Ciruelakat community and social benefits such as access to water and education to over 240 beneficiaries. Check out their campaign.
Baby Wayuu that stole my heart this winter.
The infant rate mortality is the highest because of the lack of clean water + proper nutrition.
