Renting a home for my family

A few months ago, my wife and I took new jobs in Raleigh, NC, in an effort to make things better for us and our 12 year old daughter. We moved from Tampa, FL and started to work at our new jobs thinking it would be easy to get into a house in a decent school district so she could do better than in Florida. Despite trying daily in addition to working 40+ hours a week, we can't find anything that we can afford and that will accept our 3 small dogs. Now, we have drained our bank on a hotel (not an expensive one) and are now unable to put down a down payment, rent and start up utilities. Thanks to the help of you all, we are able to secure a hotel room until payday. We are also connecting with veterans assistance people in our area with help from my fellow Iraq War Veterans. We are grateful for those that have our six in the crazy times.  I have worked since I was twelve and am not a freeloader. My wife and I are both military veterans and asking for help is not easy. We have no other route now. If we can get into a place, we can make the payments and rebuild our lives. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
