We WILL turn these tests into a testimony!

UPDATE: 1st and foremost, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has not only donated but helped spread the word! Yall mean the world to our family.
Kevins appointments at the Mayo are this coming week (the first day of appointments is actually on his birthday). Please please say a prayer that all goes well.
We know God is in control of these appointments and whatever outcomes we encounter thereafter but we could definitely use prayers to help turn these fears into faith.
Thank you again to each and every one of you! There are no words to truly express the gratitude!

In his 20s, Kevin was diagnosed with a right bundle branch block & a left ventricle cardiomyopathy. His EF rate started in the 50s and has been consistently between 30-40 in more recent years (which is concerning- but he’s a rare case because he doesn’t have any of the “normal” symptoms of someone with all of these heart issues) Doctors do nothing but offer him meds- because they have no idea what to do with him. Said meds make him feel like he has a heart problem whereas he functions like a normal human when hes not on them. *hes 38/ works out consistently/ doesnt smoke/ stopped drinking years ago/ lives a relatively health life style- outside of stress*
He went to have a defibrillator put in last year as a preventative but the procedure was a bust because the signals from the device wouldn’t reach his heart (they tested the device while he was being prepped for surgery and 5 minutes before going in to surgery, was told it wouldn’t work- never told this could happen prior to scheduling surgery).. while waiting on the table, same awesome doc said, well you’re already here, let’s just put a pacemaker in.. he was not at the point of needing a pacemaker so we said you clearly just want to do surgery and make money.. bye.
Fast forward to his last cardiologist appointment, he was told his EF rate was at 40 and if he’s feeling fine, just keep on truckin & basically come back if anything changes.
We found a specialist that implants a different type of device, similar to a defib, that specifically helps improve the left ventricle (which we’ve been under the impression is his main problem). Kevin had an appointment with this specialist yesterday where he was told the device could maybe help HOWEVER with a right ventricle EF rate of 11.. it’d be kind of pointless since the device focuses on the left. We have NEVER been told, by any of his cardiologists, that his EF rate on the right side was that low. His right side is in heart failure. All he was told to do was lose weight and sleep upright due to sleep apnea..
There is little that can be done (again, other than meds- which may or may not help) to help with the right ventricle. If weight loss and changing sleep habits don’t improve his EF rate, we are potentially looking at a heart transplant.
➡️ We NEED to get him to the Mayo Clinic. We NEED to get him to see competent doctors. My girls NEED their dad! I NEED my husband! ⬅️
We need help/ advice on how to get him into the Mayo Clinic if for nothing else, an evaluation so we can get clear answers on what we’re dealing with and how to move forward. They do not take our insurance and an out of pocket consultation starts at $5000 (this solely covers walking in the door and talking to someone- the 5k does NOT cover any testing).
As some know, Kevin’s company had an abundance of theft about a year or so ago- upward towards 1/2 a million $ missing- leading to shutting down the business & slew of lawsuits to follow because bills couldn’t be paid. (1 of these lawsuits has our house on the line/ the other takes money over a certain $ amount directly out of our account without any notice) All of this is still hitting hard and being “dealt with” day by day. Kevin recently started a new job and we are still trying to get our heads above water. That being said because with Mayo not taking our insurance, we can’t afford to pay out of pocket to send him there. (& yes, that sucks to say out loud but my girls having their dad is worth so much more than our pride)
If you or anyone you know, knows of a way for us to get him there, please please reach out! *he doesn’t qualify for any trials because he’s asymptomatic- you’d have no idea he had heart problems by looking at him/ interacting with him*
& if you can’t provide helpful info, please pray. Pray hard and pray loud. We know God is in control but this is all a LOT.
