Jasper was a charismatic, playful, goofy, protective, encouraging, caring and handsome young man who loved his family, music and poetry. Jasper is loved by all who meet him and was  always the first one to step up and help anyone in need. He definitely stood up for the underdog. He had the greatest smile and his laughter would light up a room and warm your heart. He played 3 seasons of football for Powderhorn Park, 2 seasons of hockey for Matthews Park and 1 season of basketball for Kenwood Park. He was a lover of music and the arts.He was well known in Minneapolis, one of his friends told me that anyone who met him even once remembered him.. Jasper is now watching over his momma, his dad, his little sister Rosie, his 3 little brothers, Kionte, Will, and Jaylon. Along with all his other family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Even in his passing Jasper dedicated his life to helping others and saving someone else's life, by gifting his organs to those in need. Jasper is a typical 21 year old who was dealing with some of life's toughest struggles. As being a typical 21 year old Jasper also liked to experiment and ended with a bad pill that was laced with fentynal. This is an issue that is plaguing the nation right now. There are plenty of families that are losing family members due to this terrible drug and its killing a generation. It is such a big issue that even the police are carrying Narcan with them on calls. This GoFundMe will help celebrate the life and legacy of Jasper and help continue the fight and raising awareness of mental health and substance use with young black men and the community as a whole. We are currently working on setting up a non-profit, Jasper's Joy, in his honor so that his death won’t be in vain and he will never be forgotten.
