We will forever miss you CJ

Hi, my name is Chris Bailey, and I am CJ's Pop, as he likes to call me. This week was an ordinary week for my son and me. Every morning we played the game Wordle and sent the results to each other. CJ would often get the word before me, but I would call him a cheater! We'd laugh and go on about our day. I will forever miss hearing him say, I love you, Pop, talk to you later.
CJ worked in Dorchester for Roxbury Prep as a teacher. He loved his job. I would tell CJ he needs to move out of the hood, and he'd reply, "I need to be able to connect with the kids." He was a giving man, often putting others before himself.
Unfortunately, CJ was found unresponsive at home on 12/3/2022. Cj peacefully went to sleep Friday night, and I did not get my text Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, around 4 pm, I received a horrific call telling me my son was found unresponsive. I was stunned and just sat down in disbelief!
CJ will be laid to rest afterwards at Cedar Grove Cemetery located at 920 Adams St. in Dorchester Center, Mass. 02124.
I truly appreciate the love and support that you have been showing the family during this difficult time. CJ was an amazing man and it shows. Your words of encouragement are helpful during this time. As a father I am overwhelmed to see that my son was able to touch so many people in a positive way. Thank you.
Much appreciated,
Pop
