We Weren't Innocent; We Were Girls.

Hello everyone!
We Weren’t Innocent; We Were Girls is the second play written by Eleanor Boes and produced by theatre company Lucid Blue Stories, following a successful run of 'Into the Deep' at Edinburgh Fringe 2022.

We at Lucid Blue Stories are incredibly lucky that the White Bear Theatre in Kennington, London has selected the play for a two week run in April 2024. However, this comes at a large cost and we need to raise all the funds to make our project become a reality.

The piece is a two-act play that explores the sensation of true crime media in the 21st century, and teenage girlhood. It follows the murder of a British teenage girl by her two best friends, and the subsequent investigation by an American podcaster into the case. It is a raw and unflinching narrative which also employs deep empathy for its characters, and humour (because even in the darkest situations, people are always funny).

The producer, director, and most of the cast of the show are recent LIPA graduates. We want to use this production to not only to share a unique, introspective story, but also to boost the profile of our individual careers and the company, and possibly go onto another run at a larger venue.

No donation is too small and everything will be used to help us put this production on its feet!

Please don't hesitate to contact us on email if you have any questions or would like to further help us with this endeavour.
