WE WERE GIRLS TOGETHER, a senior thesis short film by Cameron Adams.

Childhood best friends Jodi and Noah have reunited to honor a vow of road tripping to the place where they first met as young girls, before embarking on the next phases of their lives. That is... until their car breaks down. Now stranded in a small town in the south, the girls’ bond is tested as past secrets and transgressions are brought to light.

Shooting November 14th - 16th

We Were Girls Together is a love letter to the South's beauty and diverse communities, as well as an exploration of the complexities of female friendships, all told through the lens of my favorite niche genre: the coming-of-age road trip movie. This is a project that I have been slowly developing over the past year and a half, and I cannot wait to see it get made.

About Me

Hello! My name is Cameron Adams, and I just started my senior year in film school at Loyola New Orleans. I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and love all things related to movies, music, and art. I strive to make meaningful pieces of art that both women and people in the LGBTQ community can feel a connection with. Whether it's horror, comedy, or anything in between, I love using a camera to convey the world around me as I see it, with all its interesting complexities.

I have a deep passion for all aspects of filmmaking, but feel that I most shine while in front of the camera as a director or behind it as a cinematographer. We Were Girls Together will be my 5th original written/directed movie during my time at Loyola. My latest film, Capture The Moon, was chosen as an official selection for the Mometu College Film Festival, as well as winning the "Best Emerging Filmmaker" award at the Warped Witch Film Festival.

I am so grateful to my parents, teachers, and friends who have supported me in my dreams of filmmaking. You guys are who I'm doing this for. I cannot wait to share this labor of love with you all!
