We've Got Your Back Officer Schwenk

On December 9th, 2016, Officer Jacob Schwenk, of the Leland, NC Police Department responded to reports of a suspicious person on Bridgeport Way in the Windsor Park community around 8:51pm. Officer Schwenk was shot 4 times, three shots to the leg, one which fractured his femur and one shot was to the chest, and while the bullet hit his bulletproof vest, he has possibly fractured a rib from the impact.

Schwenk is at New Hanover Regional Medical Center undergoing treatment. Thankfully, his bulletproof vest played a vital part in saving his life.

Officer Schwenk is married and has an 11-year old son. This go-fund me page was created by Adopt A Cop-Eastern NC. All funds raised will be used to assist the family with Officer Schwenk's recovery. Let's show this family we have their back.
