MHS - We the People Nationals
Donation protected
We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution is an annual national competition in which students research the various Constitutional foundations and learn to apply those themes to a modern perspective. This year is the competition's 30th anniversary.
This is our teacher, Mr. Uplinger. He has been teaching the We the People course for 10 years. This is his reaction to winning the state championships for the first time.
Mr. Uplinger is extremely supportive, generous, and overall an amazing and passionate person. The Nationals are in April, located in Washington D.C. and the trip will cost us around $50,000.
With minimal time to practice for the competition, our team, through perseverance and struggle, conquered the competitions. We beat the school who previously won the NJ State competition 27 times and the Nationals 4 times. We definitely have a chance of winning Nationals.
With this money, Mr. Uplinger will be able to bring his team of 36 students to experience this unique, once-in-a-lifetime event. But we are going to need your help!
Please support us with this great endeavour so we may bring joy to Mr. Uplinger and Marlboro High School!
For businesses and corporations looking to donate, please email [email redacted] for the tax ID.
