Transforming Houston’s Future Through a Traveling Culinary Program

We’re excited to share a bold new chapter in our mission to serve Houston! In this new season, Citizens will continue to offer catering services and launch a new traveling culinary program to teach cooking skills and create a social enterprise within our business.

In this new season, we will partner with the Salvation Army and KSBJ of Hope Media Group! We will handle meal preparations for the Salvation Army’s mission to feed vulnerable populations and create a new cafe for the community. We will serve the KSBJ’s community through a new cafe in New Caney, TX.

Our Goal

We want to acquire culinary items for a Citizens culinary class that the community can book and help us raise funds for amazing causes in our city. We wish to purchase hot plates, knives, cutting boards, skillets, and more to create a small culinary teaching kit that we can not only use at Salvation Army events but also book for live events in Houston. Citizens then has the honor to employ some of Houston's most talented folks and empower these individuals by giving skills, confidence, and opportunities to build better futures for themselves and their families.

About the Culinary Program

We plan to utilize these culinary assets at our partner's locations, but for Citizens, we would like to use these culinary items to do paid culinary classes, which will generate more income and allow us to give more and employ more Citizens in our community.

About Us

What started as a single food truck has become an incredible hospitality, service, and growth journey. Over the years, we’ve expanded into two food trucks, a catering business, and our first café in Conroe, and now three more cafes are being built around the Houston area. Now we’re focused on using our experience to give back more profoundly!
