This is being set up for my good friend Natalia Zurawska.
As we all know, seeking help is hard for many reasons and not easy to do, especially for yourself.
Hoping that we can all show some love. We all benefit by helping lift each other up.
This is her story, in her words:
I never thought homelessness was in my future, the unfortunate truth is that homelessness can strike anyone, anytime.
I had a terrible bicycle accident in which I shattered my elbow severely. It has been almost 4 years and throughout this time I have not been able to find a long term solution that works. I did not anticipate this injury to be so completely life changing. I am a make-up artist and hair stylist so the use of my arms and hands is essential to my work.
As a result of my accident, I now suffer from chronic pain and when the weather gets cold or rainy, this pain is debilitating. I have been doing everything possible to be as proactive in regards to my health with no lasting solution as of yet.
All of my medical expenses for physiotherapy are out of pocket.
I would love nothing more than to be working full time again doing makeup and hair, creating art and helping others.
This accident has left me destitute. I miss my friends, family, and career so very much.
I am determined to conquer this however I am out of ideas about how to do this alone. I am extending my hand out to my community.
Adding to the situation, there’s an unfortunate – and unnecessary – stigma surrounding homelessness.
Every contribution I receive from each of you, big or small, will go directly into helping me to find a place I can call 'home' and help pay for the cost of physiotherapy for my injury as well as repaying debts to loved ones which were accumulated unnecessarily if I had received proper care and rebuilding my life over as all of my belongings were discarded by people very different from myself.
My heart is open, any support you can offer whether it be financial, a good meal, additional resources, advise, sharing of this crowdfunding page are all greatly appreciated.
