I’m writing this as a daughter who loves her parents deeply and has watched them give everything to keep our family strong.

My dad was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma in 2019. Since then, our family has faced more than most people know—treatment after treatment, doctor visits, moments of fear and hope, and so many quiet sacrifices. We’ve always done our best to carry it privately. We’ve never wanted to ask for anything from anyone.

But we’ve reached a point where we just can’t do this on our own anymore.

My dad’s cancer has returned, and this time, the treatment path is even more intense. The one bright spot in all of this is that he qualified for a clinical trial at UCSF. We are so incredibly grateful for this opportunity—it’s truly a miracle that he’s eligible, and we hold onto that hope with everything we have.

But the logistics of making this trial possible are overwhelming. The hospital stays are long—sometimes a week or more. The travel back and forth from Napa to San Francisco is frequent. And my mom, who has been by my dad’s side every step of the way, is preparing to take time off work so she can continue to be there during treatment.

As a family, we’ve already done everything we can. We’ve used every resource available to us. We’ve stretched, adjusted, and sacrificed to keep things going as long as possible—but it’s simply become too much.

Starting this GoFundMe wasn’t an easy decision. It’s not something we ever wanted to do. But now, we’re here—asking not out of want, but out of need.

Every donation will help support my dad’s care and my mom’s ability to be with him: covering travel, housing, meals, and keeping things going at home while she steps away from work.
