We Need Your Help to Save Little Nely!

Nely, a sweet Lhasa Apso mix of around 8 years old, was rescued after the storms on March 14th. She was found in a terrible state, covered in fleas and ticks, and clearly in distress with what appeared to be trauma to her legs – possibly from being hit by a car (see pictures).

A vet check and X-rays revealed the heartbreaking news: Nely has two broken femurs and a broken pelvis. To fully understand the complexity of her injuries, she underwent an MRI. The results are in, and as we feared, her condition is complicated. She needs multiple surgeries to have a chance at regaining mobility and a pain-free life.

We are currently awaiting the final treatment plan from the specialist traumatologist. However, we know that this surgery will be very expensive, with costs estimated to be between €1,000 and €3,000.

Nely is currently in a loving foster home and is being treated for anemia. Despite everything, she's a resilient and loving little dog who deserves a second chance.

Nely, una dulce mezcla de Lhasa Apso de alrededor de 8 años, fue rescatada después de las tormentas del 14 de marzo. Fue encontrada en un estado terrible, cubierta de pulgas y garrapatas, y claramente en peligro con lo que parecía ser un traumatismo en sus patas, posiblemente por haber sido atropellada por un coche (ver fotos).

Un chequeo veterinario y radiografías revelaron la desgarradora noticia: Nely tiene dos fémures rotos y una pelvis rota. Para comprender completamente la complejidad de sus lesiones, se le realizó una resonancia magnética. Los resultados están aquí, y como temíamos, su condición es complicada. Necesita múltiples cirugías para tener la oportunidad de recuperar la movilidad y una vida sin dolor.

Actualmente estamos esperando el plan de tratamiento final del traumatólogo especialista. Sin embargo, sabemos que esta cirugía será muy costosa, con un costo estimado de entre 1.000 y 3.000 €.

Nely se encuentra actualmente en un hogar de acogida amoroso y está siendo tratada por anemia. A pesar de todo, es una perrita resiliente y cariñosa que merece una segunda oportunidad.
