We’re Dirty Blonde, a for anyone who doesn't know us we're an indie rock band from Manchester and we’re in a bit of a tough spot. We’re trying to get the visas we need to play a string of shows in the US, but the cost of this is a huge hurdle for us as an independent act: we need to raise £9,900 for 3 of us to get our visas.

We’ve always done everything ourselves; recording, marketing, videos, photoshoots and every detail in between, alongside having full time day jobs, and we’ve never been the type to ask for help. But right now, we don't have much of a choice.

A few years ago, we had all our gear stolen, and we didn’t ask for any help then as it's just not in our nature to do so. We’ve just kept pushing through, but we’re at a point now where it could become the end of the road for Dirty Blonde.

The music industry is tough, especially for independent artists, and even tougher for women in the indie rock space. But we’re not ready to give up yet. We’re scaling things down as much as possible to make these US shows be as affordable as possible, but the cost of the visas is huge and unavoidable.
