On May 5th, my daughter and I were walking along the sidewalk when a car struck us. Without a second thought, I held my daughter tightly and took the full force of the impact myself. As a result of the accident, I fractured my right leg. I have surgery scheduled and will be unable to work. I am facing considerable expenses: medical bills, transportation to appointments and therapy sessions, and housing costs. My situation is, truly, very difficult at this moment.
