Hello friends, it's Katie here, the proud owner of Skintuition. I opened my spa Skintuition in the French Quarter 17 years ago with the dream of creating a beautiful space where my clientele could come be relaxed, cared for, get pampered, and most importantly a place to come find healing and deep rejuvenation. My spa was carefully curated and designed by me with the heartfelt intention to be beautiful, to be intimate, to offer the highest standards of cleanliness, and also be an environmentally conscious atmosphere. We are a green spa using only organic and toxic-free products in everything, to what's the skincare offered in our treatment rooms, to what's sold on our shelves, inclusive of what we use to clean and disinfect the spa itself. I have been an Esthetician for nearly 25 years as well as a colon hydro therapist for as long as my spa has been open, and I continue to do what I do with so much passion and purpose because I truly believe that I have created my wildest dream with Skintuition!
My spa Skintuition offers an abundance of wellness services ranging from personalized Holistic Skin Care, Facials, Waxing, Massage, Colon Hydrotherapy, Ear Coning, Vaginal Steaming, and Detoxification. My most recent edition to Skintuition's services was my infrared wing called SWEAT, which houses several full spectrum clear light infrared saunas with chromo light therapy, Infrared heated body wraps, as well as an Amethyst BIOMAT, all of which help to detoxify your body and skin, but also aid in boosting your immune system response for overall health and wellbeing. Something that is imperative especially in the current times we are now all living in.
We have ALL been deeply affected by this global pandemic. It's truly horrible and heartbreaking and I can't even begin to imagine the devastating loss of so many people and their livelihoods. I am no exception, and I too have been affected by Covid 19. For nearly 1 year, since last March, the LA mandate forced me by law to shut my doors and stop all services, and to this day, there is still no full re-opening date insight for me and so many like me. This is not only detrimental to me, my staff, and our families but to all of you, the thousands of clients whom we provide our wellness treatments for. I am doing everything I can to keep my dream alive, fighting every day to try to keep my spa fully open so that I can continue to be a safe space for all of you, my loyal and loving clients to get to come here, to continue to receive deep healing and rejuvenation - Especially with all of this devastation going on!
But the time has come, and I can no longer do it alone. I'm reaching out to all of you because I need your help. WE really need your help to keep Skintuition going. Never in this dream of mine did I imagine that I would be in the position today, but likewise, never in my dreams did I imagine that I would be surrounded and supported by SO MANY amazingly loving, loyal clients who have become friends and family whom I could humbly turn to and ask for help. Skintuition came true from my dreams and years and years of hard work, I don't want to lose it for anything! I have all of my soul sweat and tears invested here, and I built a community, meaningful friendships, and a beautiful life! My dream is to continue growing, to continue bringing all of my holistic knowledge to help heal and rejuvenate each of you from the inside out. To continue helping you boost and build your immune systems, and to continue bringing you joy and love through self-care and pampering, but also because I absolutely LOVE what I DO. I have never felt more passionate about what I do and I'm humbled by all of it. I truly believe that I won the golden ticket in life thanks to all of you!
My future plans for Skintuition's growth are endless. Every day I am looking for better ways to service the community and reach out to those that may need the wonderful services that we offer here at Skintuition. With your help, I can keep my dream alive and continue to make more of my hopes, wishes, and dreams come true. All of us here at Skintuition are eager to once again fulfill the need for physical touch, community, and the in-person human connection that we have all been missing and craving. Despite it all, I am incredibly optimistic that we will emerge from this better and stronger TOGETHER.
