We need to see my dad one last time

Hi, our names are Tannis Isaac and Tamra Hunt. Our Dad and Grandpa is our HERO. he's also the only stable father figure my daughter Tamra knows.

The last few years have been a challenge for dad. He realized and was diagnosed in 2020 with a condition that was causing his heart to stop. It took 3 tries and about all year for the medical team to get a pacemaker in. This took a real toll on him and he couldn't perform like he used to. Then we all had to move. Dad & Mom moved to Beaverlodge, Alberta. Tamra and I move to Medicine Hat, Alberta. When COVID came around Dad & Mom both got it. Dad was in a hospital about 2 1/2 hours away from Mom. She faithfully visited him several times a week. He was in the hospital for a month. Then his Dr said he had to have a COVID shot, which he did. This shot attacked his already weak heart and gave him myocarditis. The end of April he went downhill quite suddenly. He was walking quite fine and by the end of the week couldn't walk at all. So Mom sent him to the hospital by ambulance. The thought was that maybe Dad had an infection that was causing these problems but nothing showed up. They then sent Dad to Spirit River to the hospital there for therapy. Since being there he has gone downhill further. He walks when the therapists help him and with a special walker that he can rest his elbows on. He can't sit up even in a wheelchair anymore, they have a special reclining chair for him. He can't talk very loud anymore. Dad had a CT scan on Friday June 2, 2023 which showed he had a stroke 3 years ago and has had TIA's since. These they say are not a contributing factor to what is going on now. This is something neurological going on.

Tamra and I have not seen Grandpa and Dad since we moved to Medicine Hat in June of 2021. It would mean the world if you would please help us go see him.

I have 3 cats 2 snakes and 1 dog staying at home and fish in an outdoor pond. I also have a garden and flowers that will need watering and a lawn to maintain.

$500 will go for pet food and to pay 2 different friends (as one is pregnant) to look after all this.

$750 will be used for travel costs. We will probably have to get a motel as I get fatigued quite easy.

$500 will be used to pay my friend for the privilege of using his car.

$500 will be used to pay my mom's friend for graciously letting us stay in her basement while we visit Dad and Mom.

The remainder will be left with Dad and Mom to pay for expenses they have concurred and will continue to have during this time. Mom has to go into her neighbor's yard to turn her outside water tap on or off. I would like to pay to get it moved to the other side of her trailer so it is much more convenient for her to water her plants.
