We need to help our 54 neighbors displaced by a fire...

Hi, all. I'm Paul L. On May 2, 2025, my South Burlington, Vermont apartment complex experienced a significant fire event. My neighbors who live in the building next to mine were the direct victims of this catastrophe.

Our residential community consists of tenants who are 55 years of age and older. All 44 apartment units in the affected building are off limits, until further notice. All 54 residents have been displaced; many of them are well into senior citizen age. You can imagine the emotional and physical toll it has taken on them.

Due to their unexpected difficult circumstances, there are a number of efforts underway to help support and sustain these fire victims, as they adjust to their residential changes.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to raise monetary funds that shall go to our displaced neighbors. It shall remain active for donations through the end of Saturday, May 31, 2025. I’ve listed a minimum goal of $10K.  But we’re helping 54 individuals, and a higher total would be ideal!
