Hi everyone, my name’s Matt – proud dad to Buddha.

Buddha is our 14-year-old golden mix and the heart of our home. Over the years, he’s been a constant source of love, comfort, and loyalty. Recently, Buddha developed a trichoblastoma tumor (thankfully non-cancerous), but it has now ruptured and become infected.

Under normal circumstances, I’d do whatever it takes financially to help him. But life has thrown a few curveballs. This past Christmas, we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into our family. Not long after, I underwent a major surgery that’s kept me off work during my recovery. Between caring for a newborn and trying to heal, we’re stretched thin.

Buddha is currently on medication, and we’re doing everything we can at home to keep him comfortable. But the earliest we can get him assessed or operated on isn’t until late August. Expediting that care would mean significantly higher costs—and we simply can’t afford that right now, even though this truly is an emergency.

I want Buddha to live out his golden years in peace, without pain or worry. He deserves that much and more.
