BIRDIE’S UPDATE
On February 9th, Hollister Police and Animal Services deputies found a little Cane Corso girl nearly lifeless on the ground — motionless, unchipped, and alone. We named her Birdie.
She came to us in crisis — a life-threatening pyometra infection and a ruptured gastrocnemius tendon that left her unable to walk. Two emergencies. One fragile little life. And a community that refused to look away.
We are overjoyed to share that Birdie has come through both surgeries and is officially on the mend. Because of YOU — and the tireless dedication of Hollister Police and Animal Services, her amazing foster mom, and Cat Crew California — this girl won’t just survive. She will run, play, and thrive
She has been in a loving foster home ever since, and watching her come back to life has been remarkable. This puppy who couldn’t move when she was found is now stable, sweet, and full of joy.
Babe’s Fund raises money specifically for animals like her —
